Perez hits 318th HR, passes Brett on Royals' list

Salvador Perez, third on baseball's home runs list among active players who have played for one team, hit his 318th career homer Saturday afternoon, breaking George Brett's franchise record in the Kansas City Royals' 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers.
