Mariners place Donovan on 7-day concussion IL

The Seattle Mariners will place utilityman Brendan Donovan on the seven-day concussion injured list, manager Dan Wilson said Sunday, a day after the 29-year-old was a late scratch because he was hit in the head by a baseball in the batting cages.
