Islanders to donate $150K to honor player's mom

The New York Islanders have pledged $150,000 donation to a child support center in honor of the mother of NHL rookie of the year candidate Matthew Schaefer, 18. Jennifer Schaefer died in Feb. 2024 of breast cancer.
