Diamondbacks place Soroka on 10-day injured list

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed veteran right-hander Michael Soroka, 29, on the 10-day injured list Sunday because of right shoulder inflammation, further depleting the pitching staff as they try to stay in contention in the National League playoff race.
