Cubs put reliever Milner on IL with appendicitis

The Cubs injury-riddled pitching staff suffered another blow when left-handed reliever Hoby Milner was placed on the 15-day injured list on Saturday with appendicitis and right-hander Tyler Ferguson was recalled from Triple-A Iowa.
