Counsell: Swanson headed to IL after Cubs' loss

Shortstop Dansby Swanson left Sunday's 11-4 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals because of left side discomfort after an awkward swing-and-miss in the bottom of the third inning, and will be put on the injured list, Chicago Cubs manager Craig Counsell said.
